roughstock ride on the college or professional level -
be it bareback horses, saddle broncs, or bulls;
Also included for entry qualification are pick-up men, bull fighters,
and competing high school roughstock contestants.

This #10 Showcase Roping is the ONLY roping in each format
that requires the competitor qualify by riding roughstock.
All other #'d ropings are open to any competitor who would like to enter.
This roping is an EQUALIZER - No Number Cap.
A percentage of the proceeds from Showcase Roping to benefit
providing professional rodeo athletes a place to turn when faced with
a serious injury by providing financial relief to the competitor and family.
![]() Formed in 1989, Justin Boot Company partnered with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the Women's Professional Rodeo Assocaiation (WPRA) providing assistance to athletes in a number of other associations including the Professional Bull Riders (PBR).
Tom Jarrard of Riverton, Wyoming won top honors of the R2R Showcase Roping in 2009, taking home the fully tooled Cactus Saddle for High Point Champion of the Year. Tom accrued 25 points over 4 out of the 7 events. Tom, originally from Kaycee, Wyoming was a former high-school champion, and working all six events in National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association competition, helped lead the Casper College Thunderbirds to their third consecutive NIRA Championship in 1965. Tom placed twice in the bronc riding field that year.
